Jet Blue Career Opportunities

The New York Jets, formerly of the now-defunct AFL, advanced to the AFC Championship game on Sunday night, January 16th, 2011. Why is this significant? Well, this is the first time in the Jets' history in the NFL that they have made it to back-to-back AFC Championship games; the only prior time the Jets went to back-to-back championship games was 1968-1969, as a member of the AFL (1).

One could argue that Rex Ryan, Head Coach of the New York Jets, despite his controversial nature and his epically floppy mouth, is cementing himself as the greatest Head Coach in the history of the Jets franchise. After all, his Jets have managed to defeat 2 likely Hall of Fame Quarterbacks in back-to-back weeks. Much work is ahead for these Jets, however, if they're to go to their first Super Bowl since Super Bowl III.

A Meeting With the Steel Curtain

Standing in the way of a ticket to Dallas is the vaunted Pittsburgh Steelers. If you want to talk about a team with a strong winning tradition, this one would be it; they have won 5 Super Bowls and have appeared in 6 - they will also be playing their 14th AFC Championship game this weekend (2). So, what reason is there to believe, realistically, that the Jets can win this game? Glad you asked.
